What it is

Unfinished Business is a 2000 standalone expansion to Jagged Alliance 2. It takes place in Tracona, a country neighbouring Arulco, and gives the player a new contract and a shorter, more linear campaign through a series of connected sectors.

It adds new mercenaries, new weapons and new terrain, and, most importantly for its long life, an editor for sectors and campaigns. Players used it to build their own maps and missions for years afterwards.

Why play it

If you have finished Jagged Alliance 2 and want more of the same game, this is the most direct way to get it. The combat is the same, the mercenaries are the same, and the challenge is high from the start.

It lacks the original's strategic depth: no militia training on the same scale, no slow liberation of a whole country. It is more of a long mission than a campaign.

Next to Jagged Alliance 2

Unfinished Business keeps Jagged Alliance 2's combat and cast, and trades the open island campaign for a tighter run of sectors. Its editor mattered more than its campaign, as it helped keep the game alive in the community long enough for the 1.13 project to take over.

Dead Media is making RAD Tactics, a squad tactics game for PC played in real time with pause, set after the end of the world. It is in development.
