What it is
Partisans 1941 is a 2020 real-time tactics game from the Russian studio Alter Games, published by Daedalic. You command a group of Soviet partisans fighting the German invasion in 1941, behind the front line.
Missions combine stealth and squad action in real time: scouting, taking guards out quietly, ambushes and raids. Between missions you manage a base camp in the forest, with resources, equipment and partisans to assign to tasks.
Why play it
It combines Commandos' stealth missions with a camp to manage, and gives the partisans' war, rarely seen in games, a setting of its own. Its missions offer several approaches.
It is less polished than the Mimimi games, and the base management is simple.
Next to Commandos: Behind Enemy Lines
Partisans 1941 keeps Commandos' small team behind enemy lines and adds a camp to manage. It is closer to Commandos in its period and its stealth than almost any other game in this list.
