What it is
Invisible, Inc. is a 2015 turn-based stealth tactics game from Klei Entertainment, the Canadian studio of Don't Starve. A spy agency has been destroyed, and its last agents and its AI, Incognita, have 72 hours to steal enough to fight back. Each mission is a generated building to infiltrate.
Every turn raises the alarm level, which brings more guards and cameras. Agents use action points to move, hack and steal, and Incognita hacks devices with power gathered in the mission. Agents who are killed stay dead, and agents left behind are lost.
Why play it
It is one of the best stealth tactics games ever made. The rising alarm turns caution into a cost, and the whole campaign is a race against time. Its look and music are stylish.
It is hard and its runs are short and replayed, which suits some players more than others.
Next to Commandos: Behind Enemy Lines
Invisible, Inc. keeps Commandos' idea that being seen is losing, and plays it in turns. Its alarm and its campaign clock replace Commandos' patience with pressure: you cannot wait for the perfect gap, because waiting has a price.
